how it works
-
Every course in the catalogue runs on the same unit: a two-hour session. Twice a week is the standard cadence, so a six-session course runs three weeks, an eight-session course four, and a twelve-session course six. Sessions run in the evening, which means you can do this alongside a job.
-
Every course includes five hours in a VOYCE studio. They are not a bonus. They are the practice slot: the place you apply what the session covered, on the equipment you were taught on.
-
Production is what you make. Performance is what you do with it in a room. Projection is what an audience sees. Every course sits in one of the three, and courses are taken individually.
-
Every enrolled student receives 90 days of VOYCE Access with their course. While it is active, you get member rates where published, currently on Lab rental, along with priority booking and the same privileges as any other member.
-
Fees are set per course, with sessions, studio hours and materials scoped in. Write to academy.voyce@gmail.com for the current fee schedule and start dates.
COURSES
production
-
12 sessions · 24 hours · 6 weeks
Ableton as a creative instrument. Idea sketching, arrangement, and the workflows that get a track finished rather than abandoned at eighty percent.
-
12 sessions · 24 hours · 6 weeks
For producers who already finish tracks. Deeper arrangement, sound design and hybrid workflows, and the mix decisions that make a record hold up next to other records.
-
12 sessions · 24 hours · 6 weeks
Compose. Record. Refine. Session structure, arrangement with clarity, and recording vocals with intent, from raw idea to release-ready production.
-
12 sessions · 24 hours · 6 weeks
Advanced editing, vocal production and mix preparation inside Logic, for people who already work in it daily.
-
12 sessions · 24 hours · 6 weeks
Producing with real players and real instruments: arrangement, recording, and the decisions that keep a performance intact instead of editing the life out of it.
-
6 sessions · 12 hours · 3 weeks
Go beyond presets. Subtractive, FM, wavetable and granular synthesis alongside creative sampling. You leave with instruments and textures that are yours.
-
6 sessions · 12 hours · 3 weeks
Mixing as a technical and a musical discipline. Gain staging, EQ, compression, spatial design and loudness, so a track translates across clubs, headphones and streaming.
-
6 or 12 sessions · not a beginner course
Working with AI rather than handing the work to it: the machine does volume, you keep the judgement. Covers production, music tech, design and business, and forks into an Ableton path and a Logic path. Rights, licensing and platform policy are covered as orientation for working artists. It is not legal advice, and VOYCE is not your lawyer.
performance
-
12 sessions · 24 hours · 6 weeks
Read the room. Shape the energy. Beatmatching, phrasing, track selection and crowd psychology, building coherent sets and performing with confidence across genres and contexts.
-
12 sessions · 24 hours · 6 weeks
For DJs who already play out. Long-form sets, advanced mixing and harmonic technique, reading bigger rooms, and shaping the personal style that makes a set unmistakably yours.
-
12 sessions · 24 hours · 6 weeks
Turn tables into instruments. Scratching, beat juggling, cue control and rhythmic expression, and the culture and discipline behind them. Vinyl as a performative tool, on stage and in showcases.
-
6 sessions · 12 hours · 3 weeks
Taking finished music onto a stage: set construction, controller mapping, and playing live rather than pressing space bar and hoping.
projection
-
8 sessions · 16 hours · 4 weeks
3D for music. Modelling, materials and camera work, aimed at visuals that sit behind a set rather than at a showreel.
-
12 sessions · 24 hours · 6 weeks
Simulation, procedural work and rendering at a standard that holds up on a large screen in a dark room.
-
8 sessions · 16 hours · 4 weeks
Real-time visuals. Clip management, mapping, and running a show without the show running you.
-
12 sessions · 24 hours · 6 weeks
Multi-output mapping, effects chains, and performing visuals alongside a live act.
-
8 sessions · 16 hours · 4 weeks
Node-based generative image and video workflows, built for people making visuals for music rather than for people writing prompts.
under the hood
season one
ten people opened their actual work.
Under The Hood is the Academy's live session series. A working professional comes to the studio in Siolim for an evening, opens the project they are actually in the middle of, and works through it with the room. The instruments are on the table and the room gets a turn.
Candidates reach out to VOYCE Academy at academy.voyce@gmail.com.
VOYCE Access members and Academy students are in. Everyone else registers online or on the ground.
